Hello Everyone,
I've recently bought a v4 sea horse and it's overheating. I think there'e a problem with the joint between the water pump housing and the 2 tubes which lead up through the middle leg section. The tubes look like copper plumbing tubes, and they have whitish plastic fittings on the ends - one of these seems to have ridden up the tube and is difficult to get at, the other has come off and the end of the copper tube is showing - looks a bit rough. Does anyone know what I'm looking at here - I'm a newbie and don't know how the tubes should be connected to the pump. Also if I run the engine in a big water tank where should I look to see the water coming out?
Thanks for any help!!!

Are you referring to 78 (long guide) and 91 (short guide) in this diagram? If so, they are parts 0314765 and 0314081 respectively.

Thanks for the drawing - yes the short and long collar are the whietish plastic tubes I've got - how do they fit to the metal tubes inside the leg?:

You pull them down to the water pump housing to guide the copper water tubes into the housing as you raise the gearcase. Afterwards, they stay above the pump until needed again.

Make sure that the ends of the water tubes are clean and straight before insertion and lubricate the water tube grommets (#81) so that the tubes will slide in easily.
