Default mid 70s 50hp mercury pee hole

Might sound stupid but where is the pee hole located on a mid 70s mercury 50hp i believe its a 500 model,it runs great just no water coming out of pee hole if it has one, when idling last year water was coming out of the ports just below cover on backside of motor,i did not own motor at the time.I just purchased it this week from my friend i did drive the boat it was on at the time last year and as i stated ran great,so i purchased it to put on my pontoon boat this year got it on put it in lake today runs and idles perfect, but dont see water coming from any pee hole.Im not up on mercurys,The guy i purchased it from did store it upside down does it have to be primed or something?

the tell tale is generally located above the exhaust ports, below the cowling. you can easily see it if you look, if your motor doesnt have one you wont see it, if you can run it for more then a minute without the motor being enbearable hot to the touch then you dont have a tell tale, if it gets really hot, something is clogged or in need of replacement.

its the small rubber nipple on the rear bottom right ( from the back of the boat) of the lower cowling. that motor has one for sure..Run some weed eater string thru it to free up whatever the clog is. I have been known to spray a small amount of carb cleaner thru the hole to free up debris as well.

Thanks for all the info,i went up pulled the hose off the nipple, cleaned it out i took a piece of weed eater line and tried to run it through the hose and got it in about 12in,actually to the other end of the hose just before it goes into head ,couldnt push it through any farther.put it back on and started motor still no water from pee hole, should i have been able to push the line farther?
