So i just replaced my control on my 2003 Action craft and it doesn't work completely right. The model number of the Quicksilver control is 88688a25 and it is the exacty the same one I was replacing(to make it easier
). The problem is when i move the throttle up it is seriously tight, like something is rubbing. When I push the throttle only button the control moves very nicely both up and down. This binding only happen when i move it up, the reverse or down in gear is very smooth. The cables aren't the problem, they are in great shape. Another observation is the old control had the spring in the port position while the new control had the spring in the correct starboard mounting position.
I'm confused so what ya got
