hi, it all started when i bought new sleeper seats for my 1968 141/2 ft k&c.
when i removed the built in seat bases the fiberglass pulled away from the plywood. believe it or not after i removed all the glass execp for around the edges were it meets the hull because that is still suck good the wood is still good. my plan (and i need advise on this) is to just lay a layer of glass down and hope it bonds to the old glass on the edges and the plywood. and..one guy i wass talking to said to drill holes in the floor first and spray expandable foam into the area below the deck. is this a good idea and do you think my repair will work?
planning on using polyester resin with a layer of mat then a woven roven sealed with gel coat. planning on going up the transom a bit to try and strengthen it also. will that help?
thank you
