I have twin 2007 Honda 150?s outboards on my C-Dory 255 Tomcat
They run great.
I flush them with fresh water every time after running in saltwater using the hose bib connection hose. The flush hose connection is screwed on a holder on the engine cover when not in use.
For the last few months one of my 150?s has been spraying water back out from the fresh water flush bib which is attached to the holder while running the engine.
I?ve tightened it ..ran a saltflush thru it?ran it hard??it still leaks and sprays out when running.
From what the dealer said there is check valve that suppose to close when running and then open the other way when flushing fresh water with a hose.
The dealer says it would be hard to fix and not to worry?he thinks there is some debris stuck in there keeping it from closing
Should I worry??
Put a rubber gasket on the hose fitting to stop the leak?
Should this be covered by the warranty?
Will it hurt the engine?
Any tips, experience or info on this issue would be greatly appreciated
