I think it would be wise for e to tighten the back of my boat up. It is wooden, so should I get some stainless turnbuckles and fasten them to the sides to draw it in, or is there a better way?

Re: Question

Yeah! Scaring me too! It would be OK to use turnbuckles to draw it in while the re-gluing job you will do is setting-up, but then the re-screwing job should take the turnbuckle's place.

As a permanent solution, the turnbuckles will, at the very least, look amateurish and unprofessional, and will reduce the value of the hull.

Depending upon your hull, a wood boat in good condition is desireable and can command a good price. Properly done repairs will help it keep its value. They may take a little extra effort but in the end, you can be proud of your work.
