hi i've got a problem my motor starts 1st time but when warm dies but still goes only in slow motion ( lower revs ) i took it to mechanics they told me its gonna costs me a coupLe K he told me cylinder 3 has a comp reading of 45 and no. 1 has 140 no. 2 has 130 and no. 4 125 can you tell me whats the real prolbem and a good price to fix that third cylinder thanx heaps

welcome to iboats. it could just be a blown head gasket, has the mech remove the cylinder head to see what is wrong? sounds like it ran hot if going into slow mode. is this certified Evinrude service center, or a jack of all brands shop? if he has not atleast pulled the head, there is no way he can give you an estimate of the repairs.

thats as close as i can guess, with what i have to work with.
