I don't think it's alcohol related at all.
The real drinking never starts before the boat is at least to the ramp. After all, my poll indicates most people are an average of only two beers from their ramp.
Obviously, this is a result of a wife in a state of high pisstivity. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Billy Bob went out with his buddies leaving her behind one too many times. Upon his return, after stewing all day, she took it out on the defenseless boat most maliciously. Fortunately, Sea Rays are built like tanks and came away fairly unscathed. You can see the toughness of the 'Ray as it had been bounced off the house which did not fair as well. A brutal last ditch effort to run the poor boat over even failed.
