2006 15 hp conversion to elec. start

I just recently bought a 15 hp manual start. Two months later I get this back issue. Now I'm investigating putting an electric start on it. I called Merc and gave them the serial number. They supplied me with the kit number: 856555A1. It would see rather easy to do since the motor is probably already fitted for such a device. The kit states that it needs the push button starter. I guess that does not come with the kit. Does anyone have experience with this similar kit?

hey ed, not sure how old your post is but did you ever find anything out about this. i'd like to convert mine. how much was kit?
