oil hose is leaking

I have a gen 2 drive with a oil res. The hose that take the gear oil from the bellhousing to the transom is leaking at where it meets up with the transom. So my question is I replaced the hose because it was cracked ... what way can I reattach the hose, the plastic clip is broken so where can I get a new one or is there a better alternative? Also, will I have to drain the drive agian or can I just top it off...

If you're talking about the hose clamps, the part number is 54-41582 5. Should be able to get them through your local mercruiser dealer, on-line, even on iboat.com Sold in packs of 5.​

No you can overtighten them and crack the nipple. The plastic clamps work great. There is only slight pressure on the connection from the elevation of the bottle. I hope you used hose from mercruiser for the drive oil. If not I can see regular fuel line getting messed up pretty quick.
