Tested a 1984 Merc. 25xd yesterday. Motor cranks great and idols good, but when giving it gas it just bogs right out. Every time I ease it up to about no wake speed it bogs down again. Did get it to run full speed once by easing the throttle a little at the time. Ran great about 1/2 mile until I got out of it and tried to throttle up again. I assume the motor has issues with jets in the carb. Considering buying this motor. Any input would be appreciated.
