Hello-
I didn't know if this belongs in Pontoon or trailer so here goes. I'm getting an 18' 2007 Voyager and was offered a Voyager trailer that can carry a 20' to 22' boat. Do you see any problem with this setup? The trailer is brand new and I can get it for $1.800 Canadian which is approximately $1,500 US. The model is I believe LRPT20S.
it depends on whether or not you can adjust the trailer to fit the boat without taking too much weight off of the tongue. You have to move the winch post back enough to keep your lower from hitting the trailer and then make sure your tongue weight is still high enough. This may mean that you have to move the axle back a bit.

The price is right. Is this new or used? I'm in Ontario and finding a pontoon trailer at a decent price is very difficult. I ended up building my own from an RV trailer frame. I don't see much problem in using this trailer. You will need to move the stop bar and winch once you've determined the best position of the boat to give the ideal tongue weight. No big deal. You'll also have a trailer big enough for a larger boat if you decide to move up in the future.
we all need to support iboats marine store when ever possible. you get, competitive prices. fast shipping, top notch customer service. also it provides us, this great FREE forum.
Sorry Keithet, didn't see that you said it was new. If it's a dealer, maybe you can ask them to shift the wheels back to attain the proper tongue weight. Having extra room at the front is a good thing. You can use it for bicycles etc. and serves as a longer tongue which makes launching easier.
