I have a 35 hp merc and wondering if it would even get a 18 Ft glass boat up on plane anyone have any suggestions. I know it will at least push this thing but i dont want to blow it up in the process.

It should get it up on plane, but obviously it will be underpowered especially after you load her up. You might have to reprop her for the situation.
Loaded, I'm in that weight range with my 14' McKee which has a 35 Merc on the back (see avatar). She moves quite well.

I'm running a 15P on mine.
Of course, you need to measure rpm to get an accurate idea.
I'd try it out before doing anything.
