I have a 1996 150 carbed 2-stroke, and the sticker on the cowling says "Offshore". What makes this engine an "Offshore" engine?
Here are the specifics about my engine that were sent to me by someone on the Continuous Wave site after I provided him with my serial #.
It is a Mercury 150XL
Mdl #1150422SD
Mfg Date 07/08/95
Can anyone tell from this information that my motor is "Offshore"? If I had to replace my cowlilng, and the sticker wasn't the same, would anyone know that this is an Offhshore motor by looking at it?
