Hi,

I've looked high and low for something to plug the pwr steering hose ports,
so that I can remove engine. Am trying not to have P/S fluid everywhere..

The ports are on the boat, not on the P/S pump.. They are the female ports..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thank You All......

Ayuh,...

There's not much oil in the actuator,...

Wrap a rag around it...

However... Be careful not to move the steering rack during this process.

I pulled the motor out of my friends boat to find a leak in the transom assembly. Had the same question and ended up with about the same solution. But, when we put the outdrive back on without the motor in place (to seal up the back of the boat). I forgot about the open ports.

Drove the boat down to the ramp across town, without tying off the outdrive. Took a while starring at the mess all over the interior of the boat to understand what I had done. Doh!.
