I have a 1977 Merc 500 have trouble with, compression was at 60 psi on all cyl, overhauled, rings, valves,bearings, seals and gaskets, still no power, compressin at 70 psi on all cyl, just about 1 hr on overhaul, will it run right on that compression

Not very well, when it was overhauled was the block checked for out of round and taper, piston clearance and a good cross hatch from honing.

I did not have the bore checked, there was no ridge on it, very little wear that I could tell, did hone out the clyinders
