My motor will not start unless I squirt gas down inside the Carb or pull the plugs. Once it starts it runs good. I tried closing the choke while the enginge was running and it did not effect the running at all. I am getting gas to the carb, there is no suction to pull the gas into the engine. Can anyone shed some light on this. The choke closes, it is a manual choke so I can watch it close. Someone suggested the intake gasket may be leaking and creating the problem, does this make sense?
Thanks

You found the problem. You need to find out why your choke isn't working.

You May Need To Rebuild Your Fuel Pump It Is Cheap And Soooo Easy. Even A Pin Hole In The Diaphram Can Cause Problems. I Have The Same Outboard It Is A Peppy Little Rascal!! IF THAT DOES NOT WORK TAKE THE CARB OFF AND CLEAN IT LIKE YOU WERE GONNA EAT IT LATER THEN REINSTALL. HOPE THAT WORKS

I got one of these sweet little engines and to me it sounds like earl's boat is right. Overhaul fuel pump and clean carb and you will be rippin some two stroke before ya know it.
Good luck :)
