Default 2651, what is the next closest model??

I finally picked up my first boat on Sunday!!!
I guess I will be posting some questions being that I am a newb.

The first thing I need to know is; what is the closest model to the 1990 Bayliner model 2651?

If you are familiar the 2651, it was only made for that one year that I can tell. Since there is very little info on the 2651, what is the closest model and year I should be looking at for information, parts, questions etc?

Thanks

Well, it won't be much of a restore project. The hull is in pretty good shape except for the paint on the bottom. Small 3" seat repair on a seam and some monkey fur replacement. Shine up that gel coat also. Other than that not too bad...or so I think

The biggest part by far is to drop the new engine into it. Came with a brand new crated engine that I have to assemble and drop in. For a 19 year old boat, not bad. It was well taken care of.

These were taken on the way home from the pickup.

Thanks for posting. From what I understand the 2455 from the late 80's is closest. They basically added the moulded swim platform and included that in the 26'. That makes it a 24' plus a swim platform.

I need a cover for this thing so I need to figure out what to do being that no one lists the 2651.

Sharp looking boat - . Always have liked the lines of those models.
Reference to your cover check out the ones that are sold through Iboats.
My neighbor had one done last year for his and he's really happy with it.
Good luck with her and keep sending us some pics with your improvements as you go along.

The 1990 2651 is the same boat as the 1991 through 1993 2655 Sunbridge Ciera. They only had the 2651 for that one year because they produced two 26 foot Cieras. The 2651 was a 8' beam and the 2655 was a 9.5' beam. I hope this helps.
