Interprotect sanding?

About how long do I need to let interprotect 2000e cure before I can put some paper to some of the sags I got this weekend? Most are above the water line so I'm not worried about the barrier cote aspect, just don't want to start a chain reaction of epoxy coming off. My final coat was yesterday, I'm thinking by thursday evening I can do some sanding?

Re: Interprotect sanding?

Interprotect dries fast because it is a 2 part coating.
Overnight is plenty of time to wait before sanding.
If you have some bad runs, cut them down with a razor blade to make the sanding go easier.
The stuff sands like concrete, use 60 or 80 grit paper.

Re: Interprotect sanding?

great news, thanks for the reply.

I had to ask because I did sand a bit between 3rd and 4th coats and did find that the heavier build up spots didn't cure yet. Probably due to temps around here lately 30's and 40's. I did paint and cook it out in a paint shed I built and can get to 80-90 and kept it there for 8-10 hours.
