I'm trying to figure out if I have the right carbs for my engine. They are WH22-1,2,3.

I technically don't know what year my motor is. My old powerhead blew a few years back (0B303415), and I bought another rebuilt V6 200 but it had a 25" shaft and my boat is for a 20" shaft and therefore we just swapped powerheads with my midsection. So the serial number on the transom bracket is for my old motor, is there anywhere else on the motor to identify year? There is a 200 stamped on top of the powerhead but that is it.

Thanks.

WH-22's are for 200 hp engines 1978-1990 years. Look 2 inches down from trigger on throttle arm side(port),where block halves meet, look on rear side and it will have manufacturing date stamped into block MM-DD-YY

Faztbullet-
Well, the story just got more interesting. The number stamped is 6-13-95.

Laddies-
Where would I find the serial number on the block?

The reason I'm trying to sort all this stuff out is because I'm running way rich. My plugs are always oily. It runs fine but just uses more gas than it should and I have to change my plugs out every 50 hours or so. All my main jets are .0080-.0084", with no vent jets, and idle .0044-.0048.

Also, the guy I bought it from said it was an 88'. This was a guy who wasn't a merc dealer but had 2 commerical garage's full of merc parts, blocks,...you name it. He rebuilt them (supposedly) and sold them. So it is possible that I have a 95' block with everything else 88'..who knows. My cowling is the older style, not the newer style with a one piece upper section and a lower section

Check the heads, if they have the bolt on water jackets its a 2.4 and some one has restamped block, also head will have cylinder size cast in them in small oval (3/18 or 3/38). if its all 1 piece its a 2.0 or 2.5 liter, post casting number on head to identify.

Here is the casting number on the block. It was located on the port side on the foward section of the block assembly near the bottom

969-9078-C1 or
969-5078-C1

Some 2.4's have one piece heads.

Here's the jetting for WH22's. It is assumed that some ace, spelled with a double s, hasn't drilled out the idle pinholes to run ethanol.
Other things will change what the motor wants, but this is close.

WH22 Jetting
Cylinder Main Idle Vent
1 .074 .046 .096
2 .076 .046 None
3 .074 .046 .096
4 .074 .046 .096
5 .076 .046 None
6 .074 .046 .096
