Don't ask me how but I lost the plate that holds the trim wires to the transome officially called "TRIM HARNESS CLAMP" in the #6 Mercruiser Manual.

I looked online for this piece and have been unsuccsessful. Anyone have a part number (OEM or Aftermarket)? Or know where I can get it.

PS...I think I trashed the piece when I removed the old wires out.....last week.:(

Thanks!!!

Manual #6 Page 4A-6.

It's the plate with two bolts that hold the trim wires behind the gimbal ring and above the drive bellows.

57322T is the part number, it's called a cover in the parts catalog.

Might want to use #12078 clamp. It only needs the one lower bolt to hold it in so it is much easier to install. Good Luck Muc

Has anyone done this? Is this recommended? I wouldn't want a leak there because of the ease of installation.

Thanks for the tip muc, hopefully this is doable as the top bolt took me like 4 hours to take out!!!

Re: Trim Harness Clamp

That part number is for a Gen II drive, but the same senders are used and are installed the same way, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you are concerned, just get the right part with 2 bolts, then you don't have to worry.

Re: Trim Harness Clamp

So the dimensions are the same and will hold just as good? This would make installation & future replacements much easier. Does the top bolt HOLE go through to the inside?

Hopefully some who have done this will chime in.
