Default 1975 25hp Evinrude...electric starter?

I have a 1975 25hp Evinrude. I don't remember offhand what the SN is, but its one of the more basic models without the electric stater unit.

A few years back i had pretty much the same motor but a 76 that had the electric start. Sold it with a boat, but i liked the motor...got my current one as a "long term loan" from a friend...meaning free. So i don't mind dropping a some money into it to get it up to snuff.

Can someone help me locate the starter i need?

Thanks,
DW

you need starter, starter bracket, flywheel if yours does not have the teeth. solenoid, battery cables, etc. you can look up part #s here http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index....cfd8a6471c0f7f

My motor has the bracket & flywheel with teeth. I need the starter & solenoind.

Im not looking to spend money on new parts...do you know of any place that sells "recycled' or take off parts that i can call and talk to?

Also, thanks for the link...having part numbers is extremely handy! Do you know of any cross referencing websites? I believe there is a date range that the same starters were used...

Thanks,
DW
