Nope! But then I wouldn't be in that situation to begin with. I don't hunt as long as there is meat at the local store.

Well I am speaking from experience. I have encountered Moose while deer hunting (but wow never that close) and they are HUGE but curious and docile. When you see them that close .... you have to wait it out because the deer do not travel with the moose.

When I was stationed at NAS Brunswick Maine, I took a ride on my Triumph in the mountains around Rangely Lake. I came around a curve and almost run into a moose cow laying in the middle of the road sunning herself. It didn't take long for her to get up and chase me. It seemed like I didn't make any headway on her until I got past 45 mph. It sure was one of those close calls for an underwear change :D

It would be interesting to know where that incdent happened. I have been in places that are so remote, that the animals there have rarely, if ever, seen a human being. My experience there was that animals will do exactly what the moose did - become curious. They have never been hunted, so they don't immediately view humans as being dangerous. Instead the human is just something new in the forest to be investigated.

My wife and I were leaf peeping in the White Mtns in New Hampshire a few years back and came upon a road killed moose! She asked what on earth could kill such a huge animal and my only guess was an M1A1!

Man LT, that is just spooky! That moose really had it in for the guy! Must have gotten too close to Jr! OUCH!

As for the first video, can't believe the moose decided to chew on the arrow! The archer AND the video guy were pretty cool to remain still that whole time. Those moose have the gangliest looking legs, you gotta wonder how they can support such a massive body!

It looked to me like she had the arrowhead inside her nostril. Really an amazing video.

well as we say in oklahoma: thats what separates the men from the boys..

one of my buddies from wv asked me on time "man i heard people in ok think the marlboro man is a p***y-- is that true?" i says "what marlboro man?........i thought that was just an ugly woman":eek:....lol ...........its all in the breed....lol :D:D

those were some pretty hairy situations...........scare tactic may ensue a charge but while siting there doing nothing you may go hungry!!......no other reason to kill other than food----lost that impulse to kill for sport when in was young...but i do like the young dear meat.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm tenderloins!!!!!
