1996 150 johnson fuel system

i am trying to buy a 1996 efi 150 johnson that has set for several years due to a tree falling on boat. any hooo the guy may let me bring it home and make sure it runs and if i get it is there a cheap way to clean the in jectors if they need it.:confused:

If it's an EFI it isn't a Johnson. Are you sure it's an OMC product? Model number?

i havent got to get much info on it the guy dont know much about boats thats why im trying to get him to let me bring it home and get it running before buying but he swears it is fuel injected

It might be he is confused with oil injection, vro not efi.
I would just do a compression test, spark test and check the lower gear oil, that will tell you a lot without having to move it.

yea i dont know about the injection part but thanks for the help i hope it is a good motor cauz it only has like 50 run hours on it

A 96 won't have a VRO for oil injection, it'll have the OMS system.
