I just bought a 1973 Mercury 650 3 cylinder. What type of 2 stroke oil should I use and what is the ratio? Also, the compression is a litle lower on the first 2 cylinders than the last. Can I add anything to the oil/fuel mixture to help or clean it up? Thanks!;)

I use merc oil but any TCW-3 rated oil will work at 50 to 1 mix

Thanks. I have some Johnson/evinrude oil from an old motor I got rid of...do you think that will be ok? Any suggestions on additives for improving compression?

It's fine as long as it is TCW-3 rated.
