weep hole leaking

i have a 82 4cyl 470 i think merc that is leaking from the weep hole on the front of the motor. is this a hard thing to fix yourself. i heard that its just replacing some seals is this correct and is it a easy job.

the motor has the aluminum block and cast iron heads with the anti freeze resivor on top.

It's not an "easy" job but it can be done. Its replacing the seals and installing speedi sleeves on the camshaft. What happens is the seals wear groves in the cam which causes the leak.
Do a Google search for it and search on breezeworks.net for it as well, its been covered there lots of time and has a few good pics on the repair. Its a common problem with these motors.
Depending on your boat you may need to pull the motor to get the job done.
