I couple of years ago I transplanted a 1988 100hp merc outboard from an old SeaRay to a newer, 1998, aluminum hull. I thought I could use the newer controls that came with the hull. They "kinda" work, but there's not enough travel on the throttle to bring the engine RPM's up to where they could be. The old control box is long gone with the old hull. Is there anything else I can to to compensate for this besides hunt for a 1988 control box?
