I am looking at a 1998 Mako 191 CC with a 1998 150 Mercury. Am interested in any thoughts some of you may have about this particular model. Over the years I have heard that the 19 Makos' are very wet and rough rides. Any input would be appreciated. The boat I am looking in is in very good shape and apparently has been cared for.

You heard correctly. I also had one that was bad about water coming over the stern.

If you sea trial it pick a day with poor weather. That was my mistake, I went out on an average day and boat did fine.

That boat ended up nearly wrecking my back and as often as not we all got soaked.

Also we "hook up" to a lot of oil rigs down here and if the seas got up around 3-4ft backing off the rig could get exciting....

I hated that boat and sold it at a huge loss just to get out from under it.
