It is in a 94 Crownline, but apparently the engine was replaced in 2006, thanks

So carb or FI,

From what I can see there, it's carbed. Pull that plastic cover off so we can see the carb.

Yellow plastic hose is coming from the mechanical fuel pump. Mechanical fuel pump means it's a carburetor.

Alright.. still trying to figure out year... can;'t get to serial number right now...


BTW... what is the difference between the "L" and "LX"

Also, Don I found the e-Manual and it is awesome, I have been looking through it trying to learn what I can.... where would be the cheapest place to buy a paper manual

don't bother trying to figure out a year. Mercruiser officially does not do years.

Watch ebay for printed manuals.

L = 2bbl carb
LX = 4bbl carb
Everything else is identicle.
