1979 55 HP 55975 Evinrude.

I need to know if 12 lbs ofr torque is right for attaching the powerhead to the exhaust hosuging adapter plate.

10 to 12 foot pounds is correct HOWEVER....... It is strongly suggested that you check the tightness of those bolts after torquing, and if they can be tightened somewhat more...... do it.
