When I push my quicksilver 3000 forward in 'throttle only', It reaches almost the end of it's travel (full forward) and carb valve only opens ever so slightly (about 5mm t the bottom!). In 'reverse' it opens slightly more (but not much)
I've scoured loads of online manuals/forums and can;t find a definitive answer on how to setup the throttle cable at the engine end.
I'm pretty sure there's no adjustment can be made at controller end.
Can I adjust the throttle opening simply by using the brass barell adjuster to allow it to 'push' more?
What concerns me is that if I do this i'll potentially upset the idle.
I can open the throttle valve by hand (using the linkage or the throttle arm etc) so it's not stuck/binding.
Any ideas (or especially pictures
) would be appreceated.
