Help 1993 YAMAHA C115 V4

I am not getting fire to the spark plugs.I unplugged the white wire going into the cdi box and stilll no fire.Checked spark plugs and their good its getting fuel.So what next any help would be appreciated thanks.Miss out on catching the big blue catfish today dang boat:mad:.

Are you talking about the kill switch with the plastic clip?If so I took the clip off and pulled the button out still no start or spark

Did a spark plug test.Its getting spark but its weak.What to check next i check the trigger it were .338 on the meter test.

you need a dva and a meter
throw out the ohms
check all grounds

I think I might have found the problem the negative that connect's to the battery from the motor just about fell off in my hand when i took it off to check them again dont know how i missed that :eek:

Do I need to just replace the cables or is it ok to splice and put new connectors on it?

Fixed the cables now the tach jumps to 7,000 rpm when key is switch to the on position and the fuel gauge is not working now.Any ideas

Will parts from a 1989 yamaha v4 115 work on a 1993 115 yamaha v4 just the electrical stuff like ignition?
