I have had this engine since new on a 19' Basscat boat. Over the last year or so, when I first crank it up, it idles really rough and smokes a lot. I have recently decarboned the engine, changed the fuel filter, replaced the pump bulb in the fuel line, new spark plugs. Once it warms up, it runs great and idles fine, this problem just appears when it's cold. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, Bennie.

Dirty injector nozzles will disrupt the fine spray pattern of the fuel, causing a cold unstable idle.

Once warmed up the engine heat helps evaporate the larger fuel droplets and the motor smooths out, but the performance is still not what it should be.

The problem has been so slow and gradual that you haven't noticed the small drop in WOT performance.

Send your injectors in to Tony Brucado for cleaning.

I figured it had to be either the injectors, ECM or fuel pump. I'm only a shade tree mechanic at best, so I may end up taking it into the shop for service. It's been trouble free engine over the years so i was hoping this was something simple. Thanks.
