1989 40ph evinrude VRO model number

i cant find the model number on my engine i think its a 1989 model... i no its a 40ph evinrude VRO.. cant find no serial number or model number there are no plates or anything any one have in any ideas

no there is no tags any were i have search many times

that is when they started using decals, some have come off. look on the block for a disc like this, model and serial #
