What is in the short block of this engine? Are all these engines 4-bolt and forged cranks etc...? I would like to put a top end kit on the engine including heads, carb, intake, roller cam, ignition. I would like to make about 450-500hp. Can this be accomplished with stock exhaust thru hull? What other problems could be encountered? There is less than 100 hour's on the boat, so I would certainly assume that the bottom end is fine as long as there is good stuff down there. Is there a kit available for what I'm looking for. 2001 25' Checkmate.
