I recently purchased the Bosch Multitool PMF180E. Now I'm not a salesperson but i've got to say that it has surpassed my expectations.
I bought it to use on the boat but already have used it to cut of a couple of mm from a sticky house door, and since I'm presently making new stairs it's been put to use there as well. A very clean cut, little waste and very little dust!
Most impressive when you want to cut directly against a stair riser for example.
I havn't even taken a chisel out from my toolbox for the stairs!
Just has to praise a good tool..........

Re: New tool

Had to check it out, and it looks like a good tool.
However, it doesn't seem to be available in the U.S. for some reason.

I think that's what I've been keeping in the back of my mind for what
I wanted for Christmas. Closest I can find to that is a Rotozip tool.

Nothing like the right tool for the job.

The Roto-Zip isn't even close to being the same.

The original was a Fein product, but it is pricey - http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=tools&field-brandtextbin=Fein

Locally, we have had several half-hour TV sales pitches for them. Some folks on a tile discussion board liked them.

Re: New tool

I had to check it out too.
I have a Fein Multi-Master which is similar which is an excellent tool. Hopefully, the blades and other attachments are more reasonably priced for the Bosch which is where Fein really soaks ya.
But it's come in handy when no other tool would even think of getting the job done.
Good find.

Re: New tool

The blades are in our local shop and priced at NZ$25 which is about US$12:50.
Thats not bad in my book.
I've just used this tool again over the last couple of days and have fallen in love with it so much my mate's have re-named it the "Electric chisel".
