Another dumb question from a new boat owner. The manual says to grease the gimbal Bearing and hinge pins. I found the grease fitting for the gimbal bearing, but the hinge pins are covered with what looks like plastic covers with wires coming out of them (I assume these are for the trim sender?) I dont see any fittings for grease. Do you remove these covers?

Also, the engine coupler grease fitting. Where is it located? The manual is not much help here.

Thanks again, this forum is Great!!!

Nope,...
Most of those have just Gone Away over the years,...
Older models had More Zerks than the Newer 1s...
Unfortunately,...
We're becoming more,+ more of a Greaseless society over the years,...:(
Also, the engine coupler grease fitting. Where is it located?

Ayuh,..
Inside the transom, Waaay down aft, where the shaft comes out of the motor, to the outdrive....
Feel around,...
There'll either be 1, or maybe 2 on opposite sides...

You Might have a couple on the steering linkages,...
Check it out, while you've already got your face down there...;)
