87 Johnson 9.9 will not stay running

Hi i have a 87 johnson 9.9 that starts but will not stay running.
I rebuilt the fuel pump and checked the fuel lines thy all seem to be ok.
The guy i got the motor from said it has been siting of 2yrs.
It starts right up but then will not stay running.
Any help would be great.

Thank you i will rebuild the carb and see if that works.
How can i test the fuel pump i rebuilt.

easiest way is to turn motor over, with the fuel line disconnected at the carb. prime the hose, then disconnect fuel line, then pull rope, you should get pulses of fuel.
