I'm looking at a boat that has twin 2005, 275 hp Mercury Verados on it. They have about 500 total hours. With proper maintenance how many hours are these motors good for? Are there specific things that I should check during the pre-purchase inspection? Can the motor history be downloaded from the onboard computers by a Mercury mechanic?
