serial 3141289 I have searched all the links provided on this site i cant seem to locate year i need all new wireharness\wiring. thanks!!

1971. What horse power is it? Wiring diagrams are available for most early mercs, you could make a harness.

it's a 20hp 200 mercury kiekhaefer
all the wires are grumbly like and switchbox is bad will not charge a good site for parts?

According to my info the 71 uses points.
I don't know much about the Mercs but I doubt it will charge.
Over the years it seems the Mercs have problems with crumbly wires.
