I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction regarding buying a lower unit for my 15 horse 4 stroke mercury (1999). Rebuilt would probably be ideal as I am not looking to break the bank on this rig. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. :D I am a newbie here and have lurked for awhile and promise to make a contribution or two when a topic come up that I know something about, let me warn you there are probably very few...:;)

ok I would look on e bay and check around your area to see if there is a boat junk yard. Talk to the boat shops. I sold in for and 90 model two weeks ago to a 14 yr old boy. He's going to bring his motor here and install it. I'll just be watching. His is a two stroke. I have a soft spot for kids. So you just have to look around
