Mariner 4HP what year??? 2-stroke

Sorry to ever ask but I can't find out what year this motor is. Its a Mariner 4HP 2-stroke. Model 4ML Serial# 6EO L 337035. It is grey with the orange stripe on the cowling. It has forward and reverse and the fuel tank is built in. Thanks

There should be a model number like 6EO or similar ahead of the serial number

I think this engine in a 1990 made in Japan. Is that correct???????? So it would be a Yamaha made Mariner. ???????
