70 HP chrysler losing power at wot

I am losing power at wot but only after the motor has had time to heat up. Ignition system has been replaceddown to the spark plugs and leads, no probs with fuel lines through to the carbs. The only thing i can see odd is the water coming out is hot. hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold. I was just wondering if it is worth while to rebuild the cooling system or if that even has any bearing on the problem as stated before. I love my chrysler but i and just starting to wonder if its all worth it. Its a 700 skier and whenits a WOT it is FLYING!, just want it back at that

It sound like the carb needs some cleaning

Kandil, i have pulled them down and cleaned them, all is fine in there.

What is the year of the engine? What is the ignition system? What exactly do you mean be losing power at WOT? Does it just slow down, or does it stall?
If you toss a bit of water on the block behind the flywheel, does the water rapidly boil off?

Its a 1979 motor, it has a cdi ingition system, the cdi has been replaced, coil, starter, it starts to choke itself, not with the choke but you the motor changes pitch and there is no more power after about half throttle but it does not stall, pumping the primer does nothing, if the motor is switched off for 5 minutes i get wot back or if it idles for about 8 to 10 minutes but will lose it again. i dont think it would boil off rapidly, but haven't tried it, but can be touched ever so slightly.
