New to the forum....hope someone can help.

I have bought and the three parts required to do this conversion 1)driveshaft 2)water tube 3)shift linkage.
The only issue is I do not know how to replace the water tube and grommet. Can someone guide me on how to replace for this?

thx

To release the top of the watertube and fit a new one I think you will find that you will have to remove the power head from the leg and then the inner exhaust tube from that. A new grommet and a gasket will be required.

A quick solution may be to simply cut 5" off the old water tube without removing it but that of course leaves the old grommet in place which may or may not be in too good a condition.

Thanks....I guess I'll have to go a pickup a gasket before attempting. Hopefully the screws are not seized and have to be drilled out.
