i am looking at a bassboat with a 97 150 efi on it, how good were these engines ? i was thinking i read that somewhere around that year model, merc used some kind of lining in the cylinders that made the engine not hold up to well.but i dont know what years and size engines they actually were. also will there me any major difference in upkeep on this engine, than on my older engines that i am used to? thanks
