We are now running a 2 toon boat with a 55 lb. transom mount trolling motor mounted on the middle of the bow deck. We disassemble the head and spin it around so that you can steer it standing on the deck. We do have to take it on and off as it tilts in the wrong direction.

Anyhoo we are moving up to a 3 toon boat and was wondering where to mount the trolling motor.

We use the trolling motor 3-4 hours straight in the shallows searching for fish and need to be able to manuver around rocks and stuff.

We are upgrading to a 80 lb motor.

Do I need to mount it to the middle toon some how? Front or side?

Can I just mount it to the bow deck on either side of the middle toon?

need some help, does anyone use a bow mount trolling motor on a 3 toon? If so how is it mounted?

Thanks

Re: trolling motor mount

No thought needed here. If you look at any conventional fishing boat with a bow mounted motor you will notice very few of them are mounted so the motor is perfectly in the center. Mount it anywhere between the tubes, right or left side. It will work just fine.

as close to center as reasonably possible.
