Back in 1973 I went to a firefighting school in Treasure Island Ca.There we learned to work on a P250 firefighting/dewatering pump. Here we dismanteld these twin cylinder engines, and reasembled them. Also we set them up to run. Which they did. What i observed on the block, pistons and other parts were the OMC logo. Also these engines had plain insert type con rod bearingins in them. Plus surface gap spark plugs.A very thin strip of metal accross the bottom shell of the spark plug.Have never seen that since that time.Plus portabale six gal. tank. Have also seen 500GPM Johnson pump.portable.very heavy. Four cyl. When I was In the Navy we always had OMC products in use, never a problem. Jaques Questeau was not a dummy eitheir. By the way could these engines be Gale? This is why I am EN2 Engineman Second Class.
