I just got home after finally getting my Glastron in the water today. I only had a couple minor problems but nothing major.

Re: Finally!!!

Here are a few pictures of my boat tied up next to my Dad's 48 ft Uniflite (the boat with the blue stripe) in Long Beach, CA. Unfortunately I don't have any action shots. I only had two problems. One problem I knew about already was having weak batteries but didn't realize they were as weak as they were. They are 24 month batteries going on almost 36 months. The other problem was the motor kept dying at idle. The water was starting to get a little rough so I was only able to get up to 27.6 MPH on the GPS. I had a lot more throttle left but too rough to run wide open. I'll pick up a pair of batteries and go through my carbs soon.

I like the older Glastron too..
I had a red and white mid 70's 18 footer.Had a Merc outboard on it. Sold it for like 1500 bucks back then...Should have kept it..:)

Re: Finally!!!

Sounds like you're on the right track.

I had one similar to that, and do miss it! Good boats!
