picked up a 115 without a tach, looking for a reasonable price. just started looking. any advice

Tachs are available right here on Iboats or any store that sells boating supplies. You might find used on Ebay and the best place I've found for gauges of any sort is Great Lakes Skipper (greatlakesskipper.com).

thank's for the info . i found many different price's , before i throw out the cash i would like to get the best bang for my buck.
