I have a 1988 Blue Fin 1950 sportsman boat with a 130hp engine i think a 2.3 with no spark.I measured the voltage on both sides of the coil and have 12v.The motor has and external coil on it.Should i be reading 12volts on the coil?
I also turned the engine over with the volt meter on the dist. side of the coil and turned the engine by hand with no drop in voltage. Is the trigger bad in the distribtor.or is this a bad coil or something else?
